Rant #1: Tipping...

I'm a waitress. Have been now for just about 4 years and have been doing it part-time whilst studying for my Pharmacy degree. I'm great at my job and I feel that I go the extra mile to be chatty and make sure that the customers leave the restaurant feeling that they have been truly taken care of and have received an excellent dining experience. You know what make this all the more better...when I get tipped, for doing said good job. We get paid the MINIMUM wage, with the thought that our tips will bring it up (who ever thought of this is a dumb ass).

Now I understand that times are tough, but if you're eating out at a restaurant, I'm guessing times aren't really that tough now are they? Also, don't get me wrong; If someone has given you bad service, you are in no way obliged to tip them, but if its on the contrary and you do receive good service and feel that you have been properly taken care of, the food was good, the staff were friendly....then what is your problem?! Good service should be acknowledged. Because the only reason I can think of as to why you wouldn't tip after great service.....is that you're a cheap ass piece of ...poo (lol).

So to all the Non-tippers out there: Imagine if your manager came to you with a project that you put your all in and then, as an after thought, your manager says, "Oh by the way, you will not be paid for this great job"
....Sucks, don't it?

Love&Hugs&Kisses...
